CENTURIES INTERVIEW

here's the Centuries Interview, I've been behind these boys since day 1. they get better and better everytime. they're were one of the first bands on the roster and still holdin' it down. we just released they lastest release "Nightmares" on cassette, if you haven't picked it up you need to hop on that. this interview sucks cause Dan's a huge loser so yeah... try to enjoy it. much love for Centuries

Photobucket

Q: first off, the easiest question of an interview... members of the band?:
A:tommy, jason, eric, vinny, and dan

Q:name some bands that influences you guys to play what you play today?:
A: converge, blackbirds, fucking lay lowwww

Q: what else influences you guys, musically and lyrically?:
A: hatred for women

Q: describe the band in one word:
A: lazy

Q: in hardcore today, its not easy to get somewhere without "sellin' out"?, or do you think its acceptable to sellout to make it, or just play hardcore just because its what you like to do best?:

A: hardcore and sellout should never be used together, its impossible to have both

Q: being one of the original bands the label(Reversal Records) how does that makes you feel as a band?:
A: pretty sweeeet

Photobucket

Q: I myself have been around Centuries since day 1, and I've noticed a sound change.
started out as a hardcore punk/thrash kind of feel and now sounds like a hardcore/medioc feel, was that the direction you guys were headed for? if yes why?

A: I guess that's the direction we where headed for but we owe most of it to eric considering he wrote most of our newer songs when he joined the band.

Q: your latest Release "Nightmares" became a very strong release from you guys, what was in mind when writing for it?

A: these were all among the first songs written after our lineup change (to 1 singer and 2 guitarists) so they had to be a strong move in whatever direction we ended up going in
Photobucket

Q: so we finally got the cassettes in, how do you guys feel as band with the first release to be put out on Reversal Records?

A: awesome! the cassettes look awesome, go buy one or five.

Photobucket

Q: name a band in today's hardcore scene that is just killin' it?:
A: lay lowwwwww

Q: most memorable gig so far?
A: reversal show part 1 and 2, respectables

Q: any last words?:
A: just to let people know this was made mandatory

Q: shout outs:
A: I wanna give a shout out to max schwimmer and carl penney because if they didn't ride with us to shows we probably wouldn't make it, and we wouldn't have friends

LOSING VISION INTERVIEW

so, Losing Vision is the hottest band on the Reversal roster right now. these guys are the meaning of truth. I got together a few questions to sum up a interesting interview. this is my first "serious" interview I've done so check it out.

Photobucket

Q: members of the bands?:
A: TJ: Vocals, Nesto: Guitar, Alex: Guitar, Josh:Bass, Ephrem: Drums

Q: what bands influences you guys to play what you play today?:

A:Cleveland Hardcore.. Like a lot of other bands, Ringworm and Integrity.

Q:what else influences you guys, musically and lyrically?:

A:musically Cleveland hardcore, its pretty much exactly what we shoot for with our own style to it. Lyrically I have based every song around my mothers death and my father in general. I write from a pessimistic standpoint obviously, and how it has effected me growing up. That was the basis for the demo, I plan to take A different approach on the full length this summer.

Photobucket

Q:describe the band in one word:
A:DEDICATION

Q: in hardcore today, its not easy to get somewhere without "sellin' out", do you think its acceptable to sellout to make it or just play hardcore just because its what you like to do best?:

A:To me getting somewhere is what you make it. Were a pretty young band, and doing anything that isn't expected of us is getting somewhere in my eyes. Putting out CD's, shitty tours, merch. That's what it's about for me. I also wouldn't know about selling out cause I have never been in a band anywhere near big enough to "sellout"

Photobucket

Q: being the main focus on the label(Reversal Records) how does that makes you feel as a band?:

A: It's a good feeling to know that people look at us as the main focus on Reversal. Even though that's news to me lol. Either way it lets us know that were doing our job by representing the label in any positive way we possibly can. If there is focus on us, then there is focus on Reversal. Job well done.

Q: where do you see the band in the near future?:

A:Hopefully out of this state doing things. Our goal right now is to get this split done with our boys Think Again(MA) put out a full length and hit the road.

Q: name a band in today's hardcore scene that is just killin' it right now?:

A: Brick, the only demo that makes me want to smash my head into the fucking steering wheel while driving.

Q: most memorable gig so far?:

A: The Cruel Hand Foundation show was fucking nuts. I never expected that many people to show up on a Thursday. Our set was so much fun, kids went wild and it was pretty cool to see people that actually knew our words. Of course we had our number 1 straight edge mosh warrior "Al Upshaw" holding it down for Losing Vision which made it that much better. Foundation never ceases to amaze me. Cruel Hand may just be the most intense live band.

Photobucket

Q: what upcoming news and or releases that needs to be informed?:

A: Shirts are finally here! Grey and Black. Look out for the split with Think Again(MA) before summer. The band is raw and we cant wait to get it released.

Q: any last words?:

A: Come to the Reversal show. Support Florida Hardcore, come out to Sig Fest, buy a shirt, and sit on my face

Q:shout outs:

A: shout outs to Al and Sean for all the support they have given us and backing us as a band since day 1. Great fucking dudes. To all the bands on Reversal doin it big. To Tom and JP for always booking my shitty band on all these shows.

Reversal 09, if you don't know.. Now you know
